Brick Garage Addition
A brick garage built onto an existing home, laid in matched brick with a poured concrete apron.
The problem
What we were dealing with
The owner wanted an enclosed garage added to the end of the house, built so it would read as part of the original structure rather than as an addition bolted on.
The work
What we did about it
- Marked out the opening and the demolition line on the existing wall
- Removed the marked section and prepared the ground for the new footprint
- Laid the walls in brick matched to the existing house
- Tied the new roofline and trim into the original
- Poured the concrete apron and walkway up to the doors
The result
A garage whose brick, roof line and trim carry straight through from the original house, with a poured apron running out to the drive.
