Corner Lot Drainage and Catch Basin
A yard that held water after every rain regraded, with a poured catch basin and buried line to carry it off.
The problem
What we were dealing with
Runoff collected across a corner lot and had nowhere to go, leaving standing water, ruts, and ground too soft to use for days after a storm.
The work
What we did about it
- Walked the lot to trace where water entered and where it stalled
- Cut the drain run and set the line to fall
- Formed and poured the catch basin box on site
- Set the grate flush to finished grade
- Regraded and restored the disturbed ground
The result
Water now collects at the basin and leaves the property through buried line, and the grass has grown back in over the run.
