The concrete around the pool had broken up and the deck was too narrow to be useful — there was nowhere to put a chair without standing in the dirt.
The work
What we did about it
- Broke out and removed the failed section of deck
- Excavated and graded the surround out to the new deck line
- Formed to follow the existing curve of the pool
- Poured, finished and jointed the new deck
- Restored the disturbed ground around the new edge
The result
A continuous deck that follows the shape of the pool and is wide enough to actually use, with the joint between old and new closed up.
